What's Here?
The Aeris connectivity service provides a variety of reports to help you understand your account activity. This page introduces the available reports and explains how to use them.
The Reports Tab provides tools to run reports and gather data for the devices in your account. Reports can provide information for the entire account, a specific group of devices, or a single device.

You can select from three sub-tabs:
- MyReports: Provide you tools to generate an online report for non-recurring reporting needs and also to schedule reports for recurring reporting needs. Scheduled reports are defined in this tab and are periodically delivered to a set of configured email recipients based on the selected report frequency. The MyReports sub-tab displays the recently generated scheduled reports and the Templates sub-tab allows you to configure new scheduled report template. The Create New Report button allows you generate an online report. Refer to MyReports (Scheduled Reports) article and Online Reports article for more information.
- Monthly: Contains system generated monthly reports for each month. Monthly reports available for your account can be downloaded from this tab.
- Recent: Contains recently generated online reports. Online reports generated within the past five days are available for download from this tab.
All report timestamps are in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The start and end of the "day" is always in GMT as well (for all provisioning and billing reports and activities).
If a device is located in the Central Standard Time zone in the United States, its local time is offset from UTC by -5 hours; the "day" in these reports starts at 7:00:00 pm (locally) and ends at 6:59:59 pm (locally) the next “day".
MyReports
The MyReports sub-tab allows the user to schedule custom reports for email delivery. Reports can be configured to run daily, weekly, or monthly before being delivered to a set of email recipients. A maximum of 5 scheduled reports is allowed per account (additional scheduled reports can be requested by contacting your account manager).

A list of recently generated scheduled reports is displayed once you click the MyReports sub-tab. Only the 5 most recent reports for each defined scheduled report will be maintained. The time that a scheduled reports remains archived in the portal will vary:
- Each daily report will be archived for 5 days.
- Each weekly report will be archived for 5 weeks.
- Each monthly report will be archived for 5 months.
The right most column, titled Action, provides 3 options for each archived report:
- Click the Download Report icon to download the full report in CSV format.
- Click the Email Report icon to send an email containing a link to download the report to yourself. You can forward this email, and the recipient will also be able to download the report from the provided link.
- Click the Delete Report icon to delete the report and remove it from the archives.
Monthly
Monthly reports from the previous four billing periods are available for download through the "Monthly" sub-tab. New Monthly Reports are automatically generated and uploaded to your account at the end of each billing period.

Use the "Reports month" drop-down menu to select the desired month and available reports will appear. The .CSV file is contained in a compressed .ZIP folder. To download this folder, simply click the "download" icon next to the desired report.

Here are the available Account reports:

Account Traffic Cost Summary
Account level report that summarizes usage and overage charges based on Pool Name or Report Group over a specified time period.
The most common use case is to run it for the last month or month-to-date. With rollover, grouping across months becomes complicated and makes it difficult for the user to understand/interpret the output. Hence, the following durations will be supported:
- Last Month
- Month-to-date
- User Specified End Date.
Here the Start date is always be the 1st of the current month and end date can be any date of the current month. For example, you can run the report from May 1-May to 5-May OR 1-May to 9-May, but you cannot run this report from 3-May to 7-May OR 25-April to 2-May.
The data for this report is generated by the daily EOD billing job. Hence, the report will be correct up to the last EOD job, which is typically the previous day at midnight GMT. This behavior will be the same for both online and scheduled reports. In the case that the EOD job fails for any reason, the UI will display when the source data was generated last (date and time).
Account Devices Detail
Account level report that provides a listing of all devices and device attributes filtered by Report Group. If the Report Group field is not specified, all devices belonging to all Report Groups will be shown.
The report runs against a secondary database, meaning its output could be up to sixty (60) minutes old. This behavior will be same for both online and scheduled reports.
Account Devices Summary
Account level report that provides a summary of devices grouped by Status, Pool Name, Report Group, Rate Plan, Pool Name and Status, Report Group and Status, or Rate Plan and Status.
The report runs against a secondary database, meaning its output could be up to sixty (60) minutes old. This behavior will be the same for both online and scheduled reports.
Create Report - Device
To run reports for device groups select Device Reports from the Category drop-down:

Here are the available Device reports:

Daily Device Traffic Usage
Device level report that provides the daily usage of individual devices over a specified time period. A User-Defined start date can be no earlier than the first day of the previous month.
The data for this report is generated by summarizing the traffic transactions. The summarizing process does not take into account the rounding policies defined at the rate plan level for data usage. Hence, the reported data usage may be higher than the sum of all the data traffic records in the traffic detail report.
Device Traffic Summary
Device level report that provides traffic usage over a specified period of time. This report will return one row per device summarizing total traffic for Packet, SMS, and Voice. A User-Defined start date can be no earlier than sixty (60) days prior to the current date.
The data for this report is generated by summarizing the traffic transactions. The summarizing process does not take into account the rounding policies defined at the rate plan level for data usage. Hence, the reported data usage may be higher than the sum of all the data traffic records in traffic detail report.
Device Traffic Detail
Device level report that provides details of all network and traffic events (billable and non-billable) for the indicated device(s) over a specified time period. A User-Defined start date can be no earlier than sixty (60) days prior to the current date.
The report runs against a near-real-time (NRT) database, meaning the output could be up to fifteen (15) minutes old. This behavior will be same for both online and scheduled reports.
The online report includes Packet Start, Continue and Stop records. However, the scheduled report will include only Stop records if you select all devices. Further, if you select “All Devices” you can request data only for the previous one (1) day.
Device Status Activity
This is a device level report that lists all status changes, rate plan changes, and pool changes for the indicated device(s) over a specified time period in chronological order. There are no restrictions when setting a User-Defined start date. This report does not contain any traffic information.
The report runs against a secondary database, meaning its output could be up to sixty (60) minutes old. This behavior will be the same for both online and scheduled reports.
